The word Ombre comes from the French word “shadow”. Ombre is the actual style. It is progressive shade from dark to light. Sombre is what we see on blondes as this technique is more subtle, hence the word Sombre. Ombre is more noticeable and typically more maintenance. While Ombre is a beautiful look, it needs to be done right by a professional! A bad Ombre is just that-“Bad.” Don’t try to do it on your own! That’s what we call “Homebre”-and no one wants that!
